$9.99 Welcome Pack will disappear 02/01/10

I've had the $9.99 welcome pack for a few months. Love it. Glad I found out about it here and connected after they did away with pre-paid. Btw I LOVED PRE-paid. Wish they'd bring that back.

    Clark Howard says don't pay!

Never professed to know what was best for anyone. Everyone has their own reception quality and interests, such as Military or Sports. I was just showing others what I did without having to sign on to Dish, as well as what Clark Howard said. Best of luck to all. I'm thinking that a la carte will...

    Clark Howard says don't pay!

I think it was about $500 for the anntenna, mini-tower, amplifier and rotor. I counted my stations last night and I get 47. Those include a lot of crap channels no one wants to watch - kinda like DISH!:)

    Clark Howard says don't pay!

Navy: If the Food Channel, Documentary Channel and Military Channel are so important to you, then by all means, spend $49.99 per month to satisfy your HD appetite. Nice to see some are doing well in this recession.

    Clark Howard says don't pay!

I would say between 30-40 stations. Hard to say. Like I get 2 and 2-2 (all weather). I get about four different Channel 24's. I get a lot of Spanish stations, religious stations, educational stations. Only thing lacking is ESPN and regional sports. I'm with STEELERRULE, when pre-paid comes...

    Clark Howard says don't pay!

Ditching cable/satellite to get free TV on clarkhoward.com I'm with Clark. I installed a 30 foot minitower with a 12 1/2 foot antenna with an amplifier and Channel Master rotar. I get tons of channels and FREE HD on the local stations that broadcast in HD. I haven't tried plugging my laptop...

Dish now to Flextv who made the switch

I hate that DISH eliminated pre-paid. I LOVED it. I refuse to go with Flex. If enough of us refuse either Dish or someone else will bring pre-paid back as an option.

    Dish Network FlexTV Questions..

What is included in the "welcome pack"? It's not listed on the DISH website that I can see.

    Dish Network FlexTV Questions..

Difference The only difference betwenn Flex and Dish Now is that you have more options in hardware to purchase and you can go up to 4 TV's. No, you cannot purchase Flex for one day, one weekend or one week as you could with Pre-paid and Green Dot Money Pack.

    Dish Network FlexTV Questions..

Need more info I am so happy there is a place I can get information as DISH provides very little. I just found out that I can no longer get pre-paid for a few days at a time, which I LOVED!! I still have questions about the flex: 1. Will the pre-paid receivers work for flex? 2. Can I get...

    Dish Network Prepaid Question

HELP, STEELERSRULE!!!! I have been LOVING the freedom of pre-paid for months now. Yesterday I tried to turn it on for the weekend and was told DISH is discontinuing the Pre-Paid service. What are we going to do now? I swore I would never go back to billing until they offered ala carte service.

    Dish Network Prepaid Question

I did it!!! After learning so much from this forum, and especially Steelers Rule, I finally got up and running. I first bought the receiver/antenna at Radio Shack for $99.00. Then I figured out I already had the dish antenna from when I had service before, so I just needed the prepaid...

    Dish Network Prepaid Question

Steelers: Still waiting to receive my 301. I was looking in CVS at all the different cards available. They have Master Card and Visa "gift cards" in different denominations. Only $3.95. I'm wondering if those would work like the MoneyPak. I'm going to try it. Maybe a longer life than 90 days and...

    Dish Network Prepaid Question

How do you replenish MoneyPack? Thanks Steelers! You're a great source of information. I am going to try this and bought my Green Dot Money Pack. But how do I reload it? I know I can direct deposit but I am self employed so no regular, set paychecks from an employer. Hope I don't have to go to...

    Dish Network Prepaid Question

Sorry but I'm confused. No one at DISH can answer questions accurately about prepaid and Radio Shack dealers are no better. I went to CVS for the Green Dot Money Pack. I found Green Dot Visa and Master Card. They cost $9.95 to activate. They had a Green Dot Money Pack for $4.95 but the manager...
