    Additional Joey - ethernet only?

Cool thanks guys, just wanted to check before proceeding. Now I guess I just call Dish and ask for another Joey?

    Additional Joey - ethernet only?

We want to add a 4th TV in our office, which has ethernet but no coax. Currently I have 2 Hoppers and 1 Joey - would it be possible to add a 2nd Joey and only hook up the ethernet cable (no coax)? Sorry if this has be answered already, I can't find a definitive answer.

Dish Sling Adapter accessible from Mexico?

Hey, been with Dish for a little under a month. Was looking forward to using my Sling adapter while travelling, and currently I am in Mexico and cannot access my sling player. www.dishonline.com gives me an error message "too many redirects" (see attached) Is this normal? Thanks!

Received my monthly call from Cablevision.

Comcast does the same thing to me. They called me last week asking which services I had with them, I told them internet only even though they should already have that information... Then she said "I'm sorry sir, we can't get a technician out to set up cable TV until next week"... I was like...

    Should I switch to Dish?

I guess I did say it was a deal breaker, but I have changed my stance a bit, and it will be much easier managing if I do PTAT on one hopper and have my wife record her shows on the other :). Great help here on the forums!

    Should I switch to Dish?

Thanks everyone, I have installation set for next saturday, with 2 hoppers and 1 joey, and a sling adapter with the Top 200 package. Unless I missed something, I will still be saving a decent amount per month, and I am looking forward to trying out some new technology after having these D* Hr22...

    Should I switch to Dish?

Yes that makes sense and I agree with your logic. I just called dish and they said I can do two hoppers and one Joey rather than one hopper and two Joeys for $99. I'm thinking I should probably do this. Thanks again everyone for your input/help/advice

    Should I switch to Dish?

If you have 2 hoppers, do they seamlessly coordinate recordings between themselves? It would be nice to have more tuners of course, but if I have to keep track of what is scheduled to record on each hopper then no way.

    Should I switch to Dish?

Awesome, didn't even know that was possible. One (or two) more question, it appears from Dish's website that installation is free (there is no installation cost listed), is this accurate? Also, would the installer be able to use the same coax that my Directv system is using?

    Should I switch to Dish?

That's pretty cool, so does the one tuner record all 4 prime time networks at a reduced resolution or something? Does dish have a special frequency it sends all four channels on during prime time? I am thinking I will be going with Dish rather than Direct, just want to know as much as possible...

    Should I switch to Dish?

Thanks for the replies. So the hopper has 3 tuners only? Does this statement imply that you need two hoppers? (Located on dish.com) 3 Tuners should be plenty for us, just curious how this crazy new technology works. Thanks!

    Should I switch to Dish?

I'm not sure.. Here is where I got the Dish quote, it shows $7 per joey so i think so?

    Should I switch to Dish?

Not 100% sure where to post this, but the Dish forum appears to be more active than the DirecTV forum. So I've been a loyal DirecTV customer for over 4 years now, with three HR22 HD-DVR's. I want to upgrade to either the Hopper or the Genie, depending on if I stay or switch. The main reason I...

DirecTV offers to customers who complain about dropped Viacom channels

Wow they must like me, I got $10 off per month for 12 months, starz for free for 6 months, and NFL Sunday Ticket for $99. So I come out $20 ahead after a year... All I did was say i'd like to cancel due to the Viacom dispute.. I was not expecting to get all that thrown at me.
