    HR21 freezing and reseting itself

    The receiver will freeze up then reset itself about every 20 min. I downloaded new software and it didnt change anything. When it freezes it will not respond to any buttons, power included. Is there anything I can do?

    We have the standard HD receiver and the HDMI output works fine on HD channels but if we switch to a standard channel I donot have picture or audio, black screen. Is this normal?

    Directv called me, shocking, and said I needed a 200-2150 splitter. Went to best buy and they had a 4-2150 diplexer.....yup that doesnt work either THANKS AGAIN DIRECTV:mad:

    does this sound like what you had? all connected physically, i check my router and it shows up but it says not connected? did you have that for a few days?

    Mastek missed 4 appointments in a row for my HD upgrade but Directv only gives you a missed appt credit once....such BS

    if the directv unhelp guy was right and the problem lies within my router setting what can i check or change? i dont have a firewall enabled what should my host device IP be?
