    Is this a hardware problem?

A google search reveals this is a well-documented common problem since the last update. Mine and my buddies hr-20 never shuts up anymore. It sounds like a hard drive that continually defrags. It has made watching tv an annoyance. I am going to try to get them to send me a new one (pain in the...

    Tversity is great but.....help please??!

On about half of the avi movies I come across, the audio is severely garbled or distorted and cannot be heard. I'm not sure what the issue is...anyone? I'm running it to an HR-20 700 with the latest update. Also, I find my image gets stretched to fit my 16x9 tv. This is not a problem for native...

D*RM is here for all to feast on

That's not the point. Obviously a movie can be ordered when you are ready to watch it, but why should your viewing of it be so rigid? what if you fall asleep? What if something comes up and you have to go out? The point is that it isn't a huge stretch to think of a few situations where the...

D*RM is here for all to feast on

I am quite surprised this happened. The only thing that this serves to do is to irritate and inconvienience customers. The ridiculous part is how unthoughtful and ill-conceived the 24 hour time-frame is. It isn't even in line with renting a DVD. I understand that the MPAA thinks they can receive...

moving a subscribed receiver to Canada

The day that an INDIVIDUAL gets arrested for watching TV in Canada is the day that I start to devote a lot of my personal time to challenging the constitutionality of all the current 'laws' on the books. I have a very hard time believing that could ever be the case. What has happened (and could...

HR20 Audio Drops Out and Image Pixelization on HD channels

I used a Sat meter. It is fine. The problem is NOT with dish aiming. The purpose of this post was to specifically dispell people chiming in with that type of comment that only serves to water-down the issue and create doubt. This is not a dish aiming issue. -Rob

Looks like D*'s fixing the VOD access problem

I must be dense. I have 0x18a. I have hr20-700. I do the search and the front buttons and nothing. What am I doing wrong?

    HR20-100S vs HR20-700

Is the 100 the new version? If money is no object, should I go with the 100 over the 700? Thanks. -Rob

What transponders on which satellites should I get?

Thanks for the info. That makes sense. Any idea for the 99 (I only get #1) and the 103 (I can only see #1,3, and 5 and all the signal strengths are 23,40, and 15 respectively). Thanks. -Rob

Will a Slimline dish fit on an AT9 mount?

Will a Slimline dish fit on an AT9 mount?

As the title says, will a Slimline fit on an AT9 mount? Is the diameter of the mast the same for both? I want to replace a dead Andrews AT9 with a slimline, but I don't want to have to reset and level a new mount if I don't have to. Thanks, Rob :up

What transponders on which satellites should I get?

Yes, I know I should get those "satellites" and I do. I was just wondering which transponders on those Sats that I should be seeing up here (as I know that the spots are out of reach for the most part.) Anyone? Anyone???
