    More and More Commercials

However it is about the comparison, cable doing better than OTA. OTA is still doing poorly, and probably on the verge of a big decline in revenues from advertising. I said next year. The source is Leichtman Research Group (LRG), of Durham, N.H. It doesn't meant that they're not used to skip...

    I just watched Glee...

Holy heck... that's insanely self-centered. You do realize, don't you, that the entertainment industry doesn't exist solely to serve you - you do know that right? And that you don't get to unilaterally determine the standards and criteria that everyone else must therefore use - you do know...

    More and More Commercials

You misread the article you quoted: That article is about a comparison between cable and over-the-air, with over-the-air on the losing side of the equation. Regardless, there is no pretense that we're already falling down the cliff. Experts and other industry-watchers are simply seeing the...

    More and More Commercials

We are never going to get television entertainment that is literally free, long-term. It will always paid-for, somehow, some way. Right now, it's primarily through commercials. Commercials are a really stupid way of paying for television entertainment, if you think about it. The money has to...

    Caprica -- *** Series Cancelled ***

Perhaps, or perhaps not. Either way, it has worked out well so far. So we can leave it at that.

    Caprica -- *** Series Cancelled ***

I'll give you the benefit of the doubt, and we'll see how on-the-level you are about that. My wife and I felt that the characters were very well developed and we especially enjoyed how multidimensional some of the characters were, dealing with the conflicts between noble intentions and flaws...

    Caprica -- *** Series Cancelled ***

It's a family name. No doubt. Our family loves Glee, as well. Your question was phrased so sarcastically that it doesn't deserve a substantive reply. No one said you went wrong with your opinions. What I wrote speculated that perhaps some folks didn't like what the show was presenting...

Yes it was. Perhaps you simply didn't like what it made people think about.

    Caprica -- *** Series Cancelled ***

Caprica was fine just the way it was. The problem is that people didn't watch, because too many of them just like shoot-'em-ups. That's pretty-much what the BSG prequel pilot they're working on recognizes. There evidently isn't a large enough audience for thoughtful and thought-provoking...

    I just watched Glee...

I loved last night's episode. The opening was mind-blowing. Chris Colfer as Riff-Raff was perfect. Naya Rivera and Heather Morris were excellent. Even Dianna Agron was good as a party-dancer. And Michele Lea as Janet was great as usual.

There is a difference between "reminding" and providing greater depth, and deeper insight into characters.
