You'd think a software update would allow for watching programs off other dvrs in the house over your local network. The bandwidth is definately there.

Well, sometimes this works. While watching Life in DD5.1, when it went to commercial I tried turning off the aiwa and turning it back on. But, still no sound from the commercial. This sucks. I don't want to have to buy another 5.1 HTIB 'cause of this, especially to find out its not the aiwa.

I've tried 3 seperate optical cables. Same issue. Agree that something is broken, but the "what" is the problem. Here's an example. Watching Life on NBC. Full DD5.1, goes to commercial, aiwa still shows DD5.1 but no sound except for sub.

Its only one cable between the 622 and the aiwa, an optical cable. The 622 has only one optical output and the aiwa has only one optical input. Besides, if it was hooked up wrong, then the audio wouldn't work at all. It works, but stops working when the channel is changed. This isn't a symptom...

So after having Dish moved from my old house to my new house, I have a new issue. I'm using the same 622 and aiwa DD receiver that I had previously used with no issues. Here's the issue. My 622 is set to DD/PCM mode. Start on HIST HD channel, turn aiwa on and I get DD stereo display and output...

Yep, here in Dallas its the Fox station that I have the problem with. Very bad audio clipping with Family Guy/Simpsons/American Dad/etc. So annoying.

I tried searching but wasn't able to find this question asked before. Is it possible to watch recordings from one DVR on another DVR? For example, if I have 2 ViP622 receivers, is there a way to share recordings between the two receivers in order to watch any recording?

Hey guys, I currently have a 942 lease and would like to upgrade to the 622 lease in order to get more HD channels with one of the DishHD packages. What are the cost to upgrade to the 622 ($199?) and are there any rebates or monthly discounts? Thanks
