I am as I have two receivers right now. One is owned, one is leased. I pass one $5 fee for the leased one. If I get a second leased one the CSRs have told me I will pay an additional $5 a month. It's not worth $60 a year.

Swap HR10-250 for an HD receiver? I've been a customer for 5 years, order sunday ticket, DVR and HBO yet when DTV calls me about this "free" swap, they eventually admit I am leasing the box for $5 a month. Are you guys getting them to do an even trade - without bogus leasing fees?

Finally got them to replace my one 10-250 for an HR20-700. I'll still have my second 10-250 in the bedroom. That will work right? Or do I need to swap that one out too?

I've been with DTV for 5 years. Paid by CC the entire time. We have HBO, Tivo, Sunday Ticket. We're not big spenders but we do blow over 1000 a year with them. Hell, I bought one of my HR10-250s.

WTF? 3 calls and so far it's the same story: $200 for the HR20 and $5 a month lease fee. There's no way I'm paying for that when I own two HR10-250s. The extra channels are nice but not worth a dime extra for another DVR.

See, i disagree. If a tool lacks a fundamental feature I view as the crux of that tool, then the tool is in fact bad. A BMW with an automatic transmission is a bad car because it lacks a manual. Regardless of everything else, lacking a manual automatically relegates a car to the bad file...

I just gave my reason not to move away from the 10-250. He may see value in those new channels. It was just another option...save the trouble and stick with the good equipment.
