Since a few days ago, my 622 has started popping up w/ error message 04 (something wrong w/ your switch, run check switch...blah blah) constantly. There is no disruption in signal, just keeps saying my switch is bad. I've ran check switch a million times, reset the receiver another million...

That's true. Guess I'll see what happens when my takes the upgrade...whenever that will be.

So what bad stuff have you heard? Anyways, the receiver takes the update through the dish, not the phone line, right? Also, I still haven't been updated...is that something to worry about, or just it's gonna take a bit to get everyone going? I want side-side PIP!!!!!

Oh well...it was worth a shot. So I was right that they will provide single channels, just the one I want isn't on the list. Thanks anyways guys.

I'm probably going to get the answer I don't want, but...is there any way to get Dish to give you one channel for a price? They do it for locals, so any way to do it for others? I specifically want WGN so I can watch Cubs games, but I don't want any of the other channels that come with it on...

Are you going to stop watching Dish solely because the CSRs aren't sitting in Oregon, Idaho, Florida, etc (i.e. are American and can speak frickin English)? They do it because they can.

I had no problems, but wasn't using OTA...so maybe that was the culprit.

Just a thought...my actual elev is about 6 degrees higher than what Dish said it would be. So, just b/c yours is supposed to be 36.2 or whatever doesn't mean that measurement will work. I spent forever trying to get 129 in on my 1000, then one day I said @#$# it and just started randomly...

Why not try putting the 129 LNB on the 1000? If you get 119 on the 1000, then 129 should also come in, or be very easy to find. Seems like you're making it much harder on yourself by having to wrestle w/ a 2nd dish when the first one will do. Also, a sat meter is a big help...even the cheap...

I'm getting Denver too...I have no complaints for the most part (though ABC does go tits up on quality once in a while, but not enough to really complain about).

This problem pisses me off so much. Countless times the DVR says "simpsons" or "family guy" or whatever, but then it's the frickin news, or some completely different show. Ubelieveable they would have such a gross overlook in QA.

Are you using a 1000? (is that the only real way for HD? I'm not sure). If so, tons of HD locals are on the 129 sat, so you can get them anywhere in the US where you can get 129 signal (which includes Idaho I'm fairly certain). No having to worry about spotbeams and all that crap. Just "move"...

Definitely ESPN/ESPN2, sometimes TNT and RUSH (can't get enough of the skiing/boarding...reminds me how much I hate Oklahoma!!!). Otherwise, I could care less about Food, Kung Fu, HGTV, whatever the hell else they have on there. I guess Dish has done a decent job of trying to provide a...
