They already have this on the AT&T Home zone receiver. it's just a software upgrade i believe (but i doubt Dish will put it on the regular 622) i would call them and see if you can get an HZ622 (you have to have AT&T DSL though)

I'd say that your dish is not aligned properly. it takes a storm so bad that i can hardly see across the street before mine will go out.

You also have to remember, DirecTV Satellites are higher up than E* Satellites. Here, the elevation for a DirecTV dish is ~9 degrees higher than E* that's why i cant get all of my channels from E*, but get everything just fine from DirecTV
