    WatchESPN and ESPN3 Access

There are options for others... but there are no other options where I live.

    WatchESPN and ESPN3 Access

This is why I started a new topic on this... the others all got bogged down in the "ISP provides access"... ISPs started providing access to ESPN360 (now ESPN3) initially. Since ESPN introduced WatchESPN that includes the regular ESPN channels in addition to ESPN3, the providers have...

    WatchESPN and ESPN3 Access

Thanks for the info. I used to be a Dish customer and the only thing keeping me from coming back is: 1. lack of whole house DVR and 2. ESPN3... They solved the first one and if they can figure out the second I'd be a Dish customer again. Hopefully, Disney and Dish both come to their senses...

    WatchESPN and ESPN3 Access

Good point! Is there any light at the end of the lawsuit tunnel?

    WatchESPN and ESPN3 Access

I apologize for a new post on this but the previous posts did not seem to answer my question. Does anyone know if Dish and ESPN have discussed providing Dish Network customers access to WatchESPN and ESPN3? In the past, ESPN3 access was based on if your ISP ponied up the cash to ESPN to allow...

    ESPN 3

There is nothing stopping Dish, that I know of, from negotiating the rights to provide access to ESPN3 to all of their subscribers, regardless of which internet providers they have. I believe the most recent ESPN3 negotiations with Cable/Internet providers only provide ESPN3 access to customers...

    New (old) Customer

Thanks, that is what I was thinking. I am currently with Dish but I am considering other options right now to save money by getting some of the new customer promos offered by other providers. I like Dish service overall and if I switch, I anticipate I would be coming back to Dish at some point...

    New (old) Customer

I know this has been discussed numerous times before but I cannot find the threads. How long do you have to not have service with Dish before they will consider you a new customer again?

1 HD DVR, Two Remotes (RF and IR)

No it is component. Its not really that long either, both rooms are fairly close to one another, less than 50 feet.

1 HD DVR, Two Remotes (RF and IR)

Thanks for the replies. I am going to go with two IR remotes with a Terk remote extender (Amazon for ~$30). This will still allow me to control the DVR with my Slingbox.

1 HD DVR, Two Remotes (RF and IR)

I am switching to DirecTV and I was wondering if it was possible to control the HD DVR with one IR remote and an RF remote in another room at the same time? I will be connecting the DVR to two tvs in separate rooms (HDMI and Component). I read the manual and did a search here but it seems...

Here is what I use to connect 3 devices (622, Slingbox, media center pc). Works great. WGPS606 - NETGEAR.com

    DISH'n It Up lease fee?

I had the same problem. I called a couple months ago and argued successfully (I thought) to have the leased receiver fee removed from my bill. It magically showed up again in my most recent statement. I called and they initially agreed with me that it should not be there. Then after about 15...

    Customer Service Solution

I keep reading all of these posts about bad customer service from Dish. Well, if it really was as bad as some of you claim, here is a solution that has worked every time for me with multiple companies (including Dish). If you really feel you have been mislead then back it up with action. The...

Sirius XM is pissing me off AGAIN

I just confirmed this with a service rep on the phone. Lifetime subscribers do get the 128k stream for free. In order to start using the 128k stream now (as they haven't switched everyone's account yet), the rep offered to sign me up for the 128k ($2.99/mo) and provide a credit on my account...
