    Ha I use my iPhone a laptop and hook it to the receiver with a patch cord.My phone has a dynamic ip so it does not send the same one twice.And the Mac address is the one of the nic card in the reciever My connectivity has been 70% for at least 4 months haven't heard any negative feed back yet

    I like my steak rare doa receivers are a rampant.And a weekly occurrence don't get me started on Hardrive overheating issues cause by faulty cooling fans.

    You can also make a pretty nice antenna out of a 2x4 some flat washers and wood screws and some old steel coat hangers .Goolge home made hd antenna for step by step directions YouTube is also very helpful

    My point is if your tv is older an hd your internal tuner might not be up to date with the digital conversion and that might be the reason you are not picking up any channels.You may need a digital conversion box

    I agree with the 3/8 masonry bit and a cordless hammer drill,is your best option. Check both sides of the wall first and drill from inside of the house out to the sun room.Take it nice and slow if you don't do this very often lol

    Knowing what kind of tv you have would be a little helpful as well.Not that this is your situation but I have customers all the time thinking their tv is a hd tv when in fact it is not.

    Receivers go bad all the time,it happens a lot.I have them bad brand new out of the box fail at least a few times a month
