    FCC Proposed Rules from SHVERA

If this is an addition to any "regular" OTA stations in ones DMA, then my DMA is out of luck, as hardly anything can be recieved OTA in the southern part of my DMA. This list is clearly garbage and I doubt that it will be used for much. This new SHEVRA law is beginning to pi$$ me off. It...

Help with rural co-op local provider on D*

Didn't DirecTV get rid of all exclusivity agreements with rural co-ops? Have you tried just calling 1800-DIRECTV and telling them you want to switch to them instead of your co-op? May be worth a try. Casey

Locals up in Central Texas but where is ABC???

Well, I don't know about other areas, but "local" cable here means dealing with Adelphia... I don't see how that differs from dealing with DirecTV. As far as OTA... well that's almost impossible here. They're just shooting themselves in the foot IMHO. Casey

Locals up in Central Texas but where is ABC???

Seems it's not just the ABC in central Texas, but also the one in Burlington, VT. What's up with ABC? Wasn't there another ABC missing from one of the new local roll-outs? Casey

D* Won't Give Me Fox HD for the games

Unless I'm reading this wrong, Tupelo's Fox channel is WLOV Ch 27. Which is NOT an O&O but is owned by Lingard Broadcasting. Could that be the problem? Casey

    Transponder question

All transponders are used. Different channels are on different transponders. So, depending upon the channel you are on, you will see different transponders. Understand? Casey

    THE OFFICAL DIRECTV QUESTIONS THREAD

Sorry, no, I still don't think you understand what I was saying. When you plug in your address on the little DirecTV website, it uses a database of addresses and models and what not to determine if you are within the Grade B Contour. THAT is how DirecTV/Locals determine if you are eligable or...

    THE OFFICAL DIRECTV QUESTIONS THREAD

I can confirm, it's $2.25 for each network (E&W). I believe it used to be $1.50 and those that still get it are grandfathered in. Can't wait for locals so I can go from $6.75 for networks to $3. Casey
