Dish can seriously go pound sand!

I appreciate all of the suggestions here. A tech just came out to our house. He said that the FCC mandated that any installs South of Ste Gen. county, which is North of us but still South of St Louis, will not be able to receive St Louis channels. He said that we'd have to get our local HD...

Dish can seriously go pound sand!

We've ran a Check Switch several times now. I"m located an hour south of St. Louis, MO (zip code 63775). The Check Switch now shows satellites 129, 110, 119, and 118.

Dish can seriously go pound sand!

Ugh! Where do I start! 622 DVR goes out on Wednesday so we call in a replacement. Replacement unit comes last night, hook it up and don't get locals in HD. Call back last night, was told that it takes longer for them to show up. Wake up this morning, no locals in HD. Call in again and am...

Transfer data from External Hard Drive?

The drive does show up under Disk Management. Status reads has healthy but doesn't tell me much otherwise, I believe due to the Linux format that Dish applies on connection. Guess I could partition a drive to dual boot with Linux. This may let me pull the data off.

Transfer data from External Hard Drive?

My issue is specifically with this just one HD. I have another identical HD that works just fine. I'm just wondering what type, if any, of boot process is installed on these by Dish when they are connected to the DVR for the first time. I know that the process reformats the HD, using Linux I...

Transfer data from External Hard Drive?

Here's my problem. Had a 500GB Western Digital HD hooked up to my Dish DVR, paid the fee for hookup and worked great for months. At one point, when trying to access the HD, the circular light on the front of the HD would continuously blink. Unplugging/powering off the HD would not resolve the...

    Monster on Dish !

Monsters HD officially dead. Rest in Peace, Monsters HD | Horror Movie, DVD, & Book Reviews, News, Interviews at Dread Central I won't upgrade to Chiller. Just not worth it imo.

VOOM Goes BOOM - update Dish Drops all 15 VOOM Channels

Oh I understand that tastes vary. Just as you should understand that assuming makes you look like an ass. I didn't make that post as some desperate attempt for pleas to bring back Voom. I simply posted it to share with *gasp* others here that may appreciate Voom and/or horror flicks.

VOOM Goes BOOM - update Dish Drops all 15 VOOM Channels

I miss my MonstersHD. I still get emails from them with schedule updates. Since the loss of Voom I've dropped my premium channels as much as possible. I just can't justify the $100 a month anymore. People thought Voom played the same programming too often. You should see what HBO plays...

External Hard Drive Archive Bug Thread

I have two 500GB WD Essentials. When I power one of them on now, I get a continuous blinking/flashing green light (power button on front). Can't access anything on the drive and WD only offers technical support to users with Windows OS. Any experience with this here?

    622 completely locked up

Dunno if its related or not, but my 622 has been doing a constant reboot again. Used to have this problem months ago and it seemed to "fix" itself.

    Monsters HD online petition

What most people like yourself don't bother to realize is this: 1) The average customer with an unresolved complaint will tell nine to 10 people; 13 percent tell more than 20 people. 2) Up to 70 percent of complainers will return to your business if the complaint is resolved. Up to 95 percent...

    Now here is a read...

Monsters HD was the big reason I decided to go with Dish. Be sad to see that channel go.

Terrible WildBlue customer service! My horror story.

I was also told by UPS that since the label was prepaid by WildBlue, that it has a reference number with it. And that UPS sends that information to WildBlue. So...they should have both the reference number and tracking number on their end.
