We currently have the choice xtra + hd dvr package. We also subscribe to the sports pack, and a few premium movie service and pay more than the price for the premiere package. If we upgrade to premiere, will we need to pay for hd and dvr service? Should we upgrade our plan?

So...I'm finally moving out of my parent's house and into the real world after college, and I've decided that I can't go without my DirecTV. The apartment complex will obviously want a tripod or pole mount on the install, and I was wondering what (if any) additional charge D* would put on me...

Hey guys! I am happy to report that all is perfect! My old cable boxes are ready for return to TWC in the AM. The installer was fantastic. The service is crystal-clear and I couldn't be happier!

the front of the box was still lit up to "720p" on HD channels, so i switched it to 1080i using the "Res" button on the front.

they did, so I left that checked along with 1080i.

what do i set the resolution on the front of the box to? 1080i?

how do i find my TV resolution? i know it was made for up to 1080p... ....also, how do i change these settings. and do i keep native on or turn it off?

Should I use native??? It's set up that way for me...do I need to change the settings, or do I get the best quality like this? I hate my TV flashing EVERY TIME I change channels. Thanks! (p.s. - installation went fantastic!!!)

I'm already impressed. The service tech just called and said he was en route and about 30 minutes away. TWC has never done this, and I am already happy with the care level D* uses. With the 4 hr. winsow to install, I figured they'd show up around 11, but I guess I am lucky to be at the start of...
