    811 firmware update not likely...

WeeJavaDude, you were right, I was wrong. An 811 firmware update has been installed on my 811. My sig will be updated. Although - I'm seeing something new... the picture froze when I entered the TV Guide grid and stayed frozen when I exited the grid. Had to power cycle to gain control of...

    811 firmware update not likely...

Young little bastards that think they know it all! Was there anyone that missed the point! So I said MPG3 instead of MPEG2! So I said MPG instead of MPEG! Did you miss the point! I think NOT! Last part of this rant removed by me and it looks like I lose the bet!

    811 firmware update not likely...

YES.... My point isn't that firmware updates are a revenue stream, it's that it's a rat hole if you know that the product is going the way of the dinosaur in a "few" months. And as far as I know the plan is to move the high def. receivers to MPG-4, I haven't heard a word of any plan to move...

    811 firmware update not likely...

Don't see a report of a download YET!!! (this is thursday isn't it!) They're not going to spend any more money on firmware on a DEAD product! Either they're going to download MPEG-4 firmware into the machine or it's dead, end of story! This is not bashing - it's economic reality. Regards

    811 firmware update not likely...

Just remember that ALL the hidef machines will be going the way of the dinosaur long before the rest of the SD lines will be turned into orphans. What do you mean "signatures" - who's on the right side of this? Regards

    811 firmware update not likely...

It looks like E* has given up on the 811. It's starting to look like it won't be getting another firmware update as we are getting close to the 411 release date and their last three releases were complete failures. Then there's the fact that the 522 got 7 updates since the beginning of the...

    811 and lack ofguide info

So what else is new,.... I'm sorry - that's not new either!! I have 2.81 - the grid not going out more than 2 hours is a known bug.... at least to us out here in the real world, (not the dish software people). ReplayTV - 811 hookup question

I think it's a bug, but I've found that the remote will only transmit IR if the remote ID (address) is set to it's lowest possible number (1). Anyway that's what I found when I changed the remote ID. Good luck

How many trees can a satellite signal handle?

Take a look at the thread called "Jerky Dish HD Especially TNDHD", you are experiencing the same thing are the rest of us are - join the club - it's a software issue, and there is nothing you can do about it. I think I read somewhere on this forum that Dish said that one of the next releases...

    Jerky Dish HD Especially TNDHD

I had the exact same problem and did a "check switch" and found that the "Dish Network Legacy Dual LNB" mounted on the Dish 300 dish for the 148 satellite position was defective. Even though TNT HD isn't on the 148 satellite the defective LNB was interfering with the LNB on the Dish 500 that...
