I think it's a bug, but I've found that the remote will only transmit IR if the remote ID (address) is set to it's lowest possible number (1). Anyway that's what I found when I changed the remote ID. Good luck

Seen it. I've gotten the same error, but after the 266 software update i've found that if I step off, one channel, and then step back, I get the channel to lock in. Try it and let me know if that works for you. Regards
