Have you tried resetting the rec? If you have more than one, test the reciver at another location, if not then d recommends a sc.

The problem is the hard drive you instlled in it...make sure you realize this voids your warranty...

The rec never turns off, you can restart the rec and put it in standby mode but i does not turn off ever! It is always on to record your shows, even in standby.

usb ports on all tivo rec are supposed to be locked, from what i understand there is a possibility the they were unlocked witht he recent upgrade, which the R10 did not get, and it was version 6.1 not 6.2, I have two tivos and have yet to try.i tend to agree with neutron.

No...the dvr updates come from a land based phone line, the serial ports are for uplinknig to your comp.

the R10 already has the upgrade installed, it will not be getting the upgrade, also the upgrade will come through the phone line.

no the version will be 6.2 when you get the upgrade.

You have to keep you dvr connected to a phone line for scheduled service updates including the 2 week program guide. You get the standard program guide from the satellite but you get the extended program guide along with the tivo features through your phone line.

all hd rec will be replaced for free to comply with the mpeg 4, they will do this when its available in your area.

Don't know about that, you may have recieved free showtime in place of a credit.

You can have an alternate billing address or just do eft's, if only two of your channels are getting cna then you its one of two things, you're rec are old and the locals are in the 800's or 900's or you just have to change the dish type in your locals, if you live in a regular are change to...

hmm IM glad you could help him because we don't have any of these at the tech center... We would highly advise not trying a 72 at a campground because you may not be in an area where the 72 is needed....uness its for a perm instal at the camground.
