None of the device codes worked (even though code 640 worked on my old 612 receiver) and a code scan also failed. However, I was able to teach the basic functions to the Dish remote using my old Harman Kardon remote. Thanks to all of you for your advice and assistance.

I am upgrading equipment tomorrow, replacing a 501 and 508 receiver with two 722 receivers. Is there a way to download or transfer previous recordings from the old receivers to the new, or to a storage device that can be used with the 722 receivers?
