Yes, both DVR's in the house are backfed hrough the coax system so that any TV in the house has DVR 1 on channel 22, and DVR 2 on channel 24. I want to control the second side of one of the DVR's from a different room using channel 24. Basically mirror the UHF remote I already have.

I need to purchase an extra remote for my 625 DVR. It will be used in a separate room to control the DVR so I guess it needs to be the UHF type to control side 2 of the DVR? I see they are fairly cheap on ebay. My question is how difficult is it to "configure" the remote so that it will...

I have a 622 receiver that is dual tuner DVR. Since Dish doesnt carry my locals in HD, I use a separate UHF antenna that pulls in the locals in HD. The feed from this enters the back of the DVR at the off air coax input. All of the info comes up on the guide just like the other satellite...

I can pick up a squareshooter off ebay for less than $100. I think I might try just one to make sure it works. I would rather waste $100 than tackle all that diplexing myself. How well do you think a squareshooter would work inside the house? Thanks for the info.

The problem I have with the antenna in the attic is getting the signal to each receiver. I have 3 dual tuners in the house so there are 6 feeds from the dish, and all the wiring is on the inside. So I would have to figure out a way to get the OTA signal to each DVR. Thants why I was...

If the squareshooter works real good, can it be piggybacked to my dish and diplex the signal to my receivers?

Not really an old antenna. House was built in 2003, we just moved in this past summer, so its probably a 75 ohm unit already? What is a good preamp for an antenna like this? Would the squareshooter be better than what I have? Even if the square shooter was inside? What about the sharpshooter?

One side question. What about a Winegard square shooter? Says the UHF range is 50 miles. Can the squareshooter be inside or does it have to be outside?

Just remembered the previous owner had an antenna up in the attic, it is a winegard ws 1964. Will this unit bring in the channels I need? If so, great, now all I have to do is run a coax from it to the rec. Could it be that easy???

What kind of range will that still pull in UHF? I am about 30 miles from the towers. Does it need to be in a window? Or can it be put anywhere in the TV area?

I live in Cedar Rapids IA, DISH does not transmit my locals in HD. I have see a couple threads about changing service address. Is this legal? Where could I tell them I am "moving" to in order to receive locals in HD? Does that mean I would lose my locals here in CR, such as no local news...
