    So true... You call 3 different people and get 3 different answers. Get 522 from Ebay and first Dish CSR won`t even talk to you. Second will be hugely confused. The third will activate 522 no problem :D What a company....

    Thanks. Allready got one for $159...Went with Ebay because Dish Network wants $198 up front plus lease fee, after all the years of service they should be giving this stuff for free.

    Not really...They usually provide appropriate serial numbers and you can check status by calling Dish people.

    I`ve seen quite a few of 522 receivers beeing sold on Ebay(no warranty). What are the option if anything goes bad? Does anyone repair Dish PVR units commercialy? Or is it a "throw away"? Thanks

    Hi everyone. I`m thinking about buying DVR receiver. My question: Can I watch live channel with analog audio on my TV set and record separate channel with it`s audio being outputed from toslink? If yes which receiver would you recommend? Thanks
