    Keep in mind if the genie goes out then any other boxes u have will also go down I kept my power supply in the loop when I got the hr54 for that reason

    The hr54 cannot playback 4K u can only watch 4K via a C61k client or rvu

    I have the 65inch version of the Sony tv and yes it does have RVU built in that's how I watch my 4K and have had no issues with it

    It uses your tv's Ethernet port to connect to the genie basically making your tv a client just like the c61k was not sure if u need DIRECTV to come out to set this up hopefully someone else on here can answer that

    If your tv has rvu capability I would suggest that for 4K I returned my c61k for the same reasons and haven't had an issue since with rvu

    Don't know of u have done it yet but the update for hdmi 2.0 is available for download did it with mine the other day now just have to hope they will start broadcasting 4k sometime this century

    Try the 900 it has the gorilla glass and personally I think it makes the picture look a little better

    Purchased a Logitech harmony 700 a while back even got the Bluetooth adapter for the ps3 once I programmed with my computer never had a problem turns all my components on and off with no issues

    I presume you downloaded the directv app just make sure your receiver is validated
