    Old Alliance rotor repair

    I have an old Alliance rotor and control with a Radio Shack VU-90 antenna . There is a broken cog in the motor that let's it slip counter-clockwise in high winds Is there a repair for this motor? If not, please suggest replacement hardware.

    I had a dishwasher in my old apartment that squealed like a herd of hump-back whales. I finally hammered a screwdriver into the motor windings till it died. I worked at an appliance store and got a nice one at wholesale. We need an astronaut with the same mentality.

    qph-031 would be a waste of a great LNB for a fixed dish set up. if you have an easy way to move skew from inside the house, go for it.     I'm always trying to do things as cheap as possible, with used equipment. Lot's of info here for the FTA hobby. Good advice for "must have" items. I like the "no question is dumb" environment. I do try to push the limits of that though.
