I have the same problem. Usually the joey will do it at night which is when I watch TV. The hopper will play fine while the joey pixellates but usually a reboot of the joey takes care of it for a while. This just started after the last update. I noticed the joey is faster but this is ridiculous.

If the remote won't pair you can't restore anything to it.

Ok I got my joey restored with remote from hopper but now I can't get the hopper remote to pair with either hopper or joey. What gives? I press sat and the light comes on but no beeps or anything.

Anyone know if there's a way to backup my guide favorite list from hopper and then restore it to joey? And vice versa. I hate having to go through all the channels for both hoppers and joeys.

I've had the same problem since the last update. Mine would lose sound then not come back. I'd switch to another recorded program and get about 5 minutes in and it would start. Choppy pictures, pixelation, sound cut out, etc. So, I decided to see if the other hopper was doing it. Switched over...

When you like a show you can save it or save series then after a while all those series' will be in your recordings instead of ptat so that might help. Otherwise, there's not much you can do if you don't keep on top of it. They do add up fast.

I can't say for sure if some guy is manually doing skip points but I can tell you that auto hop is nothing new. My Replay TV had it ten years ago and it used software to skip by detecting the pause before and after the commercials. It did this on the fly. It worked as good as the hopper and...
