Nice, I never thought of that. The only thing about that would be the view distraction. There's people already complaining that there are too many Dishes on his side of the lake. :rolleyes:

I've had better luck with Dish Pro equipment going farther distances. :eek: I've ordered the signal amp and a switch. I'll go from there and see how things are. They really want to have separate boxes. I think even a slight boost in signal level will get rid of the dropouts for the most part.

Awesome, that's exactly what I was looking for. Can they be daisy-chained together to boost the signals?

Never even realized that as a function of SARA. It is cool.

What's that? My only complaints with Time Warner is the horrible compression of certain HD and digital channels, and the horrible UI. Fix those and it would be great. I miss the days of crystal clear *gasp* analog channels. No naughty compression.

Well basically, I know the LNB is working, that's about it. I bypassed my switch, and connected it directly to the Linear input of the LNB. I can get SBS6/G17 if I play around with it for a long time, but as soon as I move the dish to another satellite, I get very weak to nonexistent signals...

Well hell, that looks a hell of a lot better than SARA for the UI at least. I wonder when we might be upgraded....

Thanks for the replies. The guy is unsure if he wants to put all the work into it now. We'll see what he decides. BTW, I'm doing a run of 400 feet for my own personal use. What signal booster should I use, or can I possibly get away without one, and just a weak signal?

I should have less loss using RG-11 over RG-6 too, correct?
