There's no set "tradition" of playing opening day on the same day at the national title game. It just usually works out that way. It didn't this year because of the WBC. This Apr. 6 will be the latest "Opening Day" of a baseball season since 1992.

Yep. Had 28 homers at the All-Star break. Hit 28 homers at the HR Derby. Hit 30 homers after the All-Star break. Hit .313 with 149 RBI for the season and won the MVP.

Good riddance. Bilas is the best color announcer in basketball. He should've replaced Packer, but I'm just glad Billy's done. As for play-by-play, I don't know who should replace Nantz, but it should happen. He needs to stick to golf.
