    $7 Charge for Genie 2

Is anyone being charged a $7.00 fee for the Genie 2 HR17? I have had 3 clients and the HR17 since the HR-17 came out. I have been charge three $7 TV Access Fees with a $7 credit for the first TV. I received an email today from AT&T “Your DirecTV Order Details”. I haven’t ordered anything. It...

    How to get a Genie2 HS17

It does take a few seconds for the screen to come up when changing channels, but I don’t have the other two delays you describe. If I press the pause button or fast forward the bar at the bottom comes up immediately.

    How to get a Genie2 HS17

I have had a HS-17 for three months and have not had any problems with it. It replaced a HR-54. All of my clients are wired.

    The GENIE 2

I have had a HS-17 for almost two months. It replaced a HR54. I have not had any problems at all with it including speed and response.

    4k using c61k and Denon AVR-X4000

I have a Denon 5200. It is not HDCP 2.2 either. I have the HDMI from the C61K going directly to the TV and I am using the digital coax from the C61K to the Denon for the sound. You could use an optical cable instead of the coax (I think the C61K has both coax and optical).

    Switching Receiver locations

Yes you should be able to swap the coax with the blue base with the coax that goes to the room that you are moving the HR54 to. The HR54 has to be connected to the port on the left side of the splitter. It allows power to pass back through the splitter to the LNB on the dish. The reason I asked...

    Switching Receiver locations

Yes as Raoul says, can you tell if the coax on the left side of the splitter (the one with the blue at the base of the connector goes to the location where the HR54 was originally?
  9. H

    Switching Receiver locations

Depends on how it is hooked up. If you have a simple splitter setup, then maybe. Maybe you could take a picture or sketch out your wiring and setup. Do you know if you have one line from the dish to a splitter and then one coax to each receiver location?

    Switching Receiver locations

Just noticed in his last reply he said it is a HR54 so it may be that he does need to swap the coax at the splitter since the HR54 does provide power to the LNB unless he is using a separate power inserter.

    Switching Receiver locations

Didn’t know that. Strange it is not working then when he swaps the locations.

    Switching Receiver locations

The HR44 may be powering the LNB so you may need to swap the coax at the splitter so that the coax that is feeding the HR44 is connected to the red power passing port on the splitter.

    Non-Directv 4k ready TV - Needs C61K - New Monthly Charge?

    Yes adding a C61K adds $7 a month.

Can a person use 4K on DirecTV with only just one TV hooked up?

Yes you can have both hooked up to same TV on different inputs. That is how I have mine hooked up. I use a Logitech Harmony remote in IR for the HR54 and had to put a piece of electrical tape over the sensor on the C61K. I use the RF remote for it.
