I recently upgraded 2 out of 3 boxes to the new MPEG4 boxes. My current bill has charges for both "additional receiver" ($4.99) AND "leased receiver" ($4.99). Aren't I only supposed to be charged the $4.99 once for each box per month?

Denman, Sorry to be dense. But, could you explain point #6. How do you now have 1 less receiver? I have 3 receivers and get charged $4.99 x 2 for the 2nd and 3rd receivers (nothing for the 1st). I just replaced 2 of them with an HR20 and an H20, but those fees stayed the same on my account.

I'm definitely inclined to agree with you. It just wasn't worth arguing with a CSR who I figured didn't know what they were talking about. Can you imagine the customer backlash (more like revolt) if they try something like that?

This seem logical to me. I really can't imagine they would shaft all existing HD-TIVO owners with a full upgrade expense. However, I didn't see the point in arguing with the CSR.
