My wife and I are contemplating having DISH set up in her name and to drop ATT/DISH. My question is, if we decide to do that are we locked into the programming for 24 months or can we go to a lower tier of programming after the six month promo is over?

So does the GoDVD do the encoding itself or does the computer CPU do the encoding when you are copying fromt he DVR?

I have had the SBC/DISH Bundle for a while now and was wondering if we get all the perks the regular DISH customers? IE....do we get the free pay-per-view certificates for the price increase or can we utilize the club dish promotions?

I am thinking about getting a set top box to port some of my stuff off the DVR to DVD. Does anyone know if the shows are right protected and if it is going to be a waste of time to try to port the shows from DVR to DVD?
