I thought the same thing about not liking the blood covering the screen when I saw all the trailers. But after playing it for 3 or 4 days it hasn't bothered me as much as I thought it would.

I would like to try Slingplayer on Sprint with a Touch Pro 2.

Sling runs great using 3g on my jailbroke iPhone.

The one I'm only shows the temp in the status bar when the phone is locked. When the phone is unlocked the stock weather icon is replaced with a changing one. I did see one that changes the entire lock screen, but I haven't tried it yet because you had to use ssh to change the weather...

I installed HTC weather and weathericon apps from cydia. I now have a changing weather icon and the temp on my home screen and status bar which can also be seen from the lock screen.

I wonder if they can or will do a 30 day free trial like they have for their other mobile platforms ?

We can complain that the 922 lease will only be for new subs. And existing subs that are out of contract won't be able to get one even if they renew their contract. Although I'm happy enough with SpeedHD, that I could settle with a 722 with a SlingHD box.

Sling does have a web app that I have used, it does require a web browser plug in though. Sling - Watch full episodes, movies, and clips of your favorite TV and online shows It does give you full control of your DVR like the slingplayer software does.
