Well at least i dont know for how long its been up for.. but i checked today.. WWW.Directv.com/ondemand is up and running.. so im guessing we will be able to record remotely from the website instead of the testing site, doesnt show a guide....

I understand that the HR21 doesnt have OTA, is that correct?..

Koolbrz for how long have you had VOD activated ? (if you just recently had activated) it could take a day to have all the information downloaded to your receiver.. each channel downloads the info so while you might have 1000 active channel 1278 might not be.. give it a maybe at least 1- to 2...

I bought mine from Circuit city for the same price... when you get home give them a call, ofcourse it would be another 2yr contract... you tell them that you need the new Dish and installation... it was free for me.

YEs it has never been possible 2 record two things at once... with the new Directv On Demand you can record two things and download a third..... and it has No OTA because in 2 years there will be no more OTA channels (real bummer)

if a box has been activated before and you just want to move it from one room to another , that you can do that as many time as you want, just plug and play... for any new receiver you might want for future use its not on the account showing as active.. then yea you do have to activate it before use

IS free. but they are shows that required pay... just like PayPerView... you can download it but if you dont watch it, you dont get charged. plus it has a dollar sign on whatever you have to pay for... almost same charges as payperview.. 3.99 , 2.99.... at the begining for early tester was 0.01.

I wouldnt have been better off just buying a brand new one with the same price from Circuit city.. they always send refurbished ones from directv

Listen, All this calls are recorded for a reason, tell'em to bring up the call from that day and listen to it to everything that you were offered, is not your fault , is whoever offered that to you and since it was a representative of directv.... calls are recorded for a reason remember that...

Try Inputing the channel 1000 with your remote manually if it doesnt have anything loaded, then thats y the ON demand button doesnt work. it takes time to download all info

I notice a night ago while i was scrolling UP thru the VOD channels that i get channels "1903 - To be announced" , "Gamelounge ad", "1904 - to be announced", "NFl sunday ticket ad", "1994 - Octane od DEmand" then after i kept goin up and the VOD channels ran out i decided to scroll down the...

Hmm i havent heard any1 connecting to the network thru the USB port yet.. but u can try goin to SETUP and check your network status, if everything says OK then i dont c y not... but i think that it might tell you that you cant connect to the internet or router... if by checking you c that it...
