So we can all agree D* will be part of launch...so looking at the numbers...this has to be the largest launch of a new sports channel in awhile...I know ESPNU had some carriage issues....not sure how many subs Fox Sports 1 had but that was a special circumstance since it was really a rebranded...

I have a friend that installs Dish...they are stock piling boxes and dishes expecting a huge demand in August if D* doesn't pick it up. He says that they are being told to tell ppl that D* will not carry it...I think they will but this could hurt D* at least here in East Tennessee...

A lot of you are missing the point on why so many ppl are going to leave D...its not about the quality of the games on network...college football is personal...I watch other games but I NEVER miss a Tennessee game...ever. If Dish has it, then I will go there...that simple. Ask anyone in...

Also...I think it was a great move for Dish to guarantee coast to coast coverage at launch....this alone could cost D* customers if they drag their feet on an announcement into the summer.

I can't speak for rest of country...but after the announcement of Tenn first game definitely being on SEC Net...a lot of callers on sports radio were already calling providers to make sure they were going to have that game...I guarantee that most (including me) if not all would switch over that...

These are also the two games that the NHL Network has scheduled for the next three days, a preview maybe?

It is safe to ay that EVERY market will be getting TBS HD before the playoffs start, since Comcast already announced an HD palyoffs.

Since my last post they have also added a full time NFL Network-HD and FSN-HD. The NFL channel is on all the time even if the content is not in HD, but the FSN is only on when the game on is in HD.

We finnaly got HGTV and FOOD tv in HD, after the rest of the country got them 2 months ago.:rolleyes:

I currently have both Comcast and Directv and in September when DTV has the new HD's I am going to "cut-off" Comcast. If they come out and mess with my DTV lines there is going to be a throw-down. They can do whatever they want with the lines they ran but the DTV lines are currently seperate...

We got the same three here in Augusta, GA yesterday. No notice, they just showed up but I'm not complaining. I also would like CW HD and the Fox Sports South in HD but I'm happy for now.
