I've had one since Jan and haven't had any problems with it.

The h20-600 I had initially put out enough heat to fry an egg on.The guide never worked smoothly and after about 4 months it started constantly rebooting itself. D replaced it with an h20-100,runs a lot cooler and guide works much better.

I live very close to you and have the hr20-700.My guide shows 2 different channels for 2,5,7,9,32. One sd and one hd version.Most of the time the 2 channels carry the same program. Channel 11 only shows the sd channel and when I called they said they didn't carry the hd channel.

You don't need the hd package to get the locals hd,if you get your locals through directv you should also get the hd versions.That said,I agree with the others,the hd locals look better with an ota antenna if you can pick them up that way opposed to the sat hd locals.

your receiver may have a coax type dd input also.If you can assign them to particular inputs you my be able to hook 1 up with the optical cable and the other with the coax cable.Otherwise I'd be looking for a new receiver myself.
