I want to ask a question about a channel? I can get a listing on it and a signal. But no picture or sound. I would like to put the channel in this forum but I am not sure if it is the right thing to do. I thought I saw a posting telling us not to list a channel by name.:)

Do you think the people that shipped it might have something to do with it?

I have a coolsat 5000. And after the blind search I went thur the channels and found some that didt have any sound. I was wondering if there is a trick to get the sound to work.

I have a coolsat 5000. I wanted to add some satellites that are not in the coolsat. I know that I have to enter the satellite postion. But do I have to enter transponders?

I also have trees that look like they are in the way. No Power lines. But for some reason I had to lower my dish. The only thing I can think of and see is the gutter. Its only a guess.

Hey Lew When I first mounted my dish to my house I could not find ant satellites unless the the brackets where loose. The only thing i can think is that the gutter is 6 inches above and about 3 inches behind the dish and was causing me not to get any signals. I remounted the dish about 12...

I have the switch and the l port and c port going on the commited setting of my coolsat. Now that I am in the mud. Let me ask you this. What is the uncommited setting for? Thank you from a newbee. You guys are the best!!!

Could this be why when I do a blind scan and it comes up sometimes with 2 sets of the same channels?

I have a qph-031 lnb I know that I can select Universal or Standard. But I was wondering how does the lnb look at the satellite signal with the two settings. If I look at a satellite with one setting the coolsat will see it and not with the other?

When doing a blind scan what is the differance between Universal or standard? Does it just scan different freq ranges?
