I was wondering... I cancelled dish because they raised their prices again. I own the 512 DVR. I currently have a good HDTV antenna and get great local channels. Is it possible some way to have the 512 receiver record OTA programming since I no longer subscribe to dish? Is there some way...

Got it. This is helpful, however it doesn't tell me what cables (or connectors pictures) from the Dish to the receiver. I have two cable from the LNB with the ends cut off and one from the back of the arm, also cable cut. Don't know what connector if any is used. I have the receiver and box...

I have the techbook, it's scribble drawing from a tech. It doesn't show how to connect the wires with the connectors used. Actually the SRD-4000 is still usable and can receive digital stations. I have been sent a list of what is available...very cool.

Does anyone know where I can download this manual for the Echostar SRD 4000 so I can get this thing working and up? Thanks..

yes everything worked. I just don't have the manual to know what cables to connect where on the transceiver/receiver.

I have the same thing... A few years ago I could only get the dish to move. The receiver has power but I haven't been able to get anything on it. trying to find the manual and get it working...

yes I get HDTV with an HDTV antenna as well as locals. I don't want to spend the $$ on buying an antenna if the C band dish would work....it does have in BIG LETTERS ECHOSTAR on the front :-)
