Does anyone know if the Orby program guide works for OTA local channels if you don't have Orby service? I am referring to the plain Orby satellite receiver, NOT the DVR. If I buy a plain receiver and activate it for one or two months, will the program guide continue to work for the local OTA...

This would be a good deal for FTA use. Perhaps someone could tell us if the supplied LNB is capable of both vertical and horizontal. I know the orby receiver only puts out 13 volts. Even when turned off it puts out 13 volts to the dish.

I had my $100 Orby DVR about a week. It had similar problems. Had to unplug it once to restore function. Then it stopped being able to "Pause Live TV" I should have returned it but I just threw it away. And Orby doesn't give refunds. Complete waste of money. I suggest you return it if...
