well you will need to convert an old prepaid receiver to flex or buy a flex tv recevier and have it set up as the main unit, after that, you can pretty much add a any second receiver you wish, prepaid or regular dish

well I used the prepaid cards after aug 1 and they seem to work..perhaps dish is grandfathering the prepaid systems until they can covert everyone to flex or something..I wish we can get an official word for a distributor or someone higher up...

the way I see it, dish does not give a damn about prepaid clients, like who cares if we lose our money...I see no point in them sending everyone a brand new purple card that most likely cost them money, and then cancel this accounts afterwards...I hope they grandfather us, and not force us to...

i talked to a dealer and he says dishnow cards are here to stay. they will keep them going, grandfather equipment will continue running

question, does direct tv offer a service similar to dish, where you can get the service without having a ssn, ( dish has a new flexplan that basically u pay $149 for receiver and u can activate it no problem). or the dishnow as well.. wondering if direct has a plan similar or planning on rollin...

is there a way for a customer to activate a second recevier in the account without having to phone customer service? I want to add a third receiver for the third bedroom, but when i call in to add the second unti, it took me forever to get through..so i was wondering if there is an easier way...

i suggest you call them again, tell them you need to get a new smart card replacement, they will take down your info, phone number and address. basically they need to set up an account for you in order forthem to send you new access card...just tell them you need for them to setup an account in...

well i guess prepaid activating is going smoothly now..still flaky but at least boxes are starting to work and addin remaining days off the old card on teh spot.which is good

prepaid systems only work for 1 single tv solution, meaning if you want in 2 tv's, you will have to buy 2 prepaid receceivers and pay the monthly fee 2 times, like u would have to buy 2 $40 pin cards to get tehm both going...they dont have a dual tuner for prepaid..yet so i heard.

i guess prepaId still having issues, now you can go further in the automated system, i try to change my smart card sent to me, the system tells me i activated new cards successfully, then ask me if i want to add more days, i say yes, now it gets in some kind of loop trellin my card is activated...

i wonder how those prepaid clowns have time to answer so many people with same issue, i wonder if they have like 2 million prepaid calls to answer from 2 million customers? that would suck. I've being tryin to add more time to 5 diff receivers since early this week, same freakin results...
