I have been troubling streaming 4K through the hopper 3 even though I am hard wired in at 67 Mbps at the hopper. It kept giving me error 1518 insufficient bandwith. So for kickers about 20 mins ago, I set up the hopper to connect to my wireless 2.4ghz router. I set the login pw, etc.. Then I saw...
ok, I know not much programming is available but I decided to stream a free 4K show. It gives me error 1518 insufficient bandwidth. My download speed is 67 mbps. The tech support guy told me to call my cable provider and ask if my bandwidth is good enough to stream 4K? He said my bandwidth...
would they be considered high speed cables? I only ask because I have an extra one from install and have a Sony sound base arriving tomorrow and enter to use the hdmi arc to hook it up to tv
Got it! Thanks a bunch for the info. It's def a learning curve but loving my hopper.. Dish hands down has the best hardware available, I see why there is such a cult following. Count me in too! ;)
Ok. So I CAN backup recordings made on the internal hd to the ehd.. But I can't back up the ehd to another hd on my media server? Or must I record from the hopper directly to the ehd?
PTAT to me is merely a convenience, I mainly want to just keep my direct series recording for the kids and me (walking dead, the flash, etc) then keep our recorded fav movies.
I'm glad, it obviously Is a solid hd. I plan on just backing up the main dvr Hd for now. Once full I'll also back it up to one of my media servers.. I have two with about 10tb total capacity
And was looking at the 2tb WD elements ehd that stands vertical.. That the most reliable? I have done search on the forums but want to confirm that is the best choice before buying
So given that I've seen different posts about the internal hd on the hopper failing.. I've narrowed it down to a 2tb WD usb 3.0 ehd to transfer my saved recordings too as a backup.. My only question is should I go with one with an external power supply?
Got it. All my sat experience is from about 10-12 years ago. Back when a low transponder number meant the channels would go in and out. So now.. It either works or doesn't. Thanks for clarifying!
Ok from a Google search I found the info from another post on this site... So was able to plan the timers, it's currently listing the show name, new and reruns, and seek. As of now is there a way to edit the seek timers to only record new episodes?
