I was at the 1999 All-Star Game at Fenway, too, and my eyes weren't dry either. The game was almost anti-climactic after the pre-game ceremonies. I also attended the 1987 MLB All-Star game at Oakland.

If you lower the priority for Dirty Jobs, it will record the program with the higher priority at 8:00 and pick up the Dirty Jobs episode at 11:00.

I'm not sure what is happening, but the Comcast Cable HD Fox channel is now carrying the Fox 6 logo. We used to get Channel 61 from Hartford as our HD Fox. The CW affiliate in the Springfield DMA is cable-only. You can call DirecTV and get CW50 out of Baltimore (Channel 385).

I'm experiencing the same audio/video sync issues with Channel 40. As for Channel 6, when DirecTV added it, I don't believe they were broadcasting yet in HD. But they now are--Comcast just switched their Fox FD feed from Channel 61 to Channel 6. I'm hoping DirecTV will add Channel 6 in HD soon.

In the Springfield-Holyoke DMA, Channel 6 (Fox) is a substation of Channel 40, the ABC affiliate. They just started this summer, and, as far as I know, they are not yet broadcasting in HD. Local cable carries standard definition Channel 6 and HD Fox from Hartford's Channel 61 (outside the DMA).

Well, the good news is that with DirecTV, at least you'll get locals, and HD locals are coming in October. Dish Network still doesn't offer locals of any kind in our DMA. If you need a local installed, PM me, and I'll send you the details on my guy. He's always done a great job for me, and...

The MX-500 predates the DirecTV HD-DVR's, so I wouldn't be surprised if they don't have a built-in code. I used the learning mode to teach my MX-500 for both an HR-20 and an HR-21.

The Hartford Fox affiliate has been offered on our cable systems for quite some time, and it's included in the Springfield locals on DirecTV. (Dish Network still doesn't offer locals in the DMA.) Hopefully, the new Channel 55 will provide Red Sox and Patriots coverage when they're on Fox...
