Call me crazy, but I've noticed a few times recently where DirecTV has somehow managed to inject local ads into national network commercial breaks, something I've only seen from regional cable operators. Anyone know how this works?

I agree on the deeper playlists as well....for those of us who had XM before XM and Sirius merged, you know what I mean. I miss Fred Lucy and Ethel, and at least these SonicTap channels seem to bring some of that deepness back to my alternative needs.

Not to sound high and mighty, but the quality of XM on DirecTV was a LOT better than you will receive on any home unit. I think you'll be very disappointed.

Have you searched up and down your RSN's for alternate channels for your provider? When I lived in Indiana, I received FSN Midwest, which occasionally showed blacked out Cincinnati Reds games. HOWEVER, because I was in Reds territory, I would always receive Reds games on one of the alternate...

I enjoyed the XM channels, but it certainly isn't enough reason for me to jump ship. I have SiriXM in my car, so having a different music provider indoors will just widen my listening!

I have Time Warner as well, 15meg down. Youtube is absolutely awful for me, where I can pull 20mbps down without issue on some torrents..... who knows!
