Yes I did that test and the results on the Sony TV tuner were better, although there was no strength meter.

I have scanned and gotten all the channels I want. One of them is a bit flaky in reception. If I re-point my antenna, is it best to rescan again in order to get a better signal for that channel? Hmmmm

Bobby, Thanks for the reply. I actually posted this in the OTA forum but it was moved to this one. I know it is a bit redundant If you change direction of the antenna slightly is it best to re-scan? Does the tuner lock into the transmission at the current antenna direction?

I experience the same issues with a new antenna in my attic. Most of the signal strength is 100% but one channel bounces down to 75 and upwards. There is no problem when I use the tuner in my tv which makes me wonder how much of this signal strength issue has to do with the USB Dish antenna...
