Yes I did that test and the results on the Sony TV tuner were better, although there was no strength meter.

I have scanned and gotten all the channels I want. One of them is a bit flaky in reception. If I re-point my antenna, is it best to rescan again in order to get a better signal for that channel? Hmmmm

Bobby, Thanks for the reply. I actually posted this in the OTA forum but it was moved to this one. I know it is a bit redundant If you change direction of the antenna slightly is it best to re-scan? Does the tuner lock into the transmission at the current antenna direction?

Rebooted to get my SD channels to show Initially I could not see or access my SD channel options on the default "my Channels" menu. I rebooted my 722 and they all returned. Now watching SD successfully without changing my preferences from HD to SD in set up. Mike

Here in Minneapolis, our public television station stopped using analog/uhf channel 17 to broadcast three channels and moved them to digital 2-x channels. So I re-do my locals over the air (dish does not provide all) and everything works fine except that the program guide is all ver-schminked...
