And you know this how??? You do realize that the regular remotes only have stop, forward, reverse, and play on them. Where's the LIVE button? Where's the RECORD button? Where's the instant LIST button to go to the DVR menu? Where's the INSTANT REPLAY button? Where' the PIP buttons?

what? So let me get this straight. Your dvr only records when your watching tv if the box is off?????? I have no idea what your talking about. How can you watch tv if your box is off.

My question is not about the commercial skip. Its about the SPEED. I can't imagine this thing being fast. Look how slow OnDemand is.

your HD channels don't look like HD? Your tv must be awful. 95% of my hd channels are beautiful. CBS, NBC, FOX, ABC, HBO, SHO, MAX, STARZ just for example are extraordinary RAZOR sharp.

If your talking about Channel 2 in HD then yes. Channel 2 in HD is the only channel I see with this problem. It happens off & on. I really don't know the reason why this happens but it definitely happens if I record another channel at the same time while I'm recording channel 2.

Newsflash: Voom is still in business. Just not in America anymore. Its on in over 20 countries.

Compresses 50% ? Link? Proof? I don't know about you, but my Voom Channel are gorgeous. All the pay channels are just as beautiful. Just a COUPLE of channels are not up to snuff. Still look great compared to the SD channel, but not perfect. I can live with it considering they are the network...

Whoa whoa whoa... You were complaining that your recorded programs didn't start when you pressed play. And here I find out that you have an expander. Again, you are blaming the WRONG thing. Cablevision is not your problem.
