Can the GTX record ABC and CBS 4:2:2 feeds and then play them back using VLC but can't view them live at normal frame rate?

You can probably have your router assign a specific IP address if the GTX won't let you manually configure it. MAC address is your friend.

Love watching those type of YouTube videos. Would a 1/2 wavelength probe (maybe require larger diameter feedhorn?) be more efficient or advantageous compared to a 1/4 wavelength probe?

Do you have 5G interference in your area? Prior to LNB with 5G filter, my C-band reception was problematic so I suspect it would be an issue for 4.5-4.8 GHz without a filter.

I don't see one listed on their website but you can inquire. Usatel Import. Also found one on ebay although without a filter, I wonder if 5G interference might make this a waste of time.

You can view stream specs from VLC. I would guess the same is true if you are playing back a recorded .ts from VLC

have you looked at the stream specs vs. recorded .ts specs in VLC? Just wondering how you're comparing bit rates, not questioning your eyes on graniness.

The reason why your regular streaming devices and likely most TVs can't playback most 4:2:2 HD feeds is the same reason your satellite receivers can't watch them. The processors don't support 4:2:2 chroma and don't have the power to decode using software. I understand this may have worked in...
