Well, sort of. This is actually a review of HR20, but the reviewer did compare it to 622 quite often, and he likes 622 better but just by a nose. There are some cool features that HR20 has that 622 doesn't, like native pass through, mass delete of recordings, 2 ATSC tuners (still disabled)...

Yes, the HDMI problem is well known. However, I urge you to call E* tech support (not CSR) and ask for a replacement 622/211, in my experience they will have no problem sending you a replacement. Some box's hdmi works while others don't, so it is definitely worth a try.

I saw Replay on NFLHD 2 nights ago on E* and it was in HD (I think it was Bills vs Pats), and damn good-looking, so I don't understand vedhead what you're saying. Cheerleaders Tryout and Cheerleaders Swimsuit Calendar, on the other hand, sadly are not in HD.

I've always wondered, if you can get EPG for an OTA station, does that mean that that station is part of Dish locals? I can see program guides for KRON 4.1 (but not 4.2 which is MyNetwork TV), PBS 9.*, 20, 44 etc.

Is your 622 set to output 1080i? By default it's 480i, and most installer will not change it for you.

Dude, set your 622 TV output to 1080i. Factory default setting is 480i which is NOT what you want for watching HD.

garys is right, there is only 1 OTA tuner, so when you use it for recording you cannot switch to another OTA channel. Same for satellite channels, if both of your sat tuners are used for recording, you cannot switch to a 3rd sat channel. This is not an "unfortunate" feature, it is just the way...
