Actually that's a mistake. It should say tighten screw "1" 1-2 turns..... Thanks for bringing it to my attention. Screw 1 is the wedge that does the actual adjusting of the backlash.

You might also review the Backlash Adjustment Bulletin on our site found at SG2100 dish positioner. I think it's toward the bottom of that page.

I think what Rick is saying, the meter won't show you a picture on encrypted channels. I believe it will still give you the signal reading. As far as I know, it works on all satellites except DTV at 101. They are doing something to the signal there that doesn't allow the meter to pick it up...

No, I certainly didn't mean to come off that way and I apologize if it sounded that way. I just wanted to make sure you had the information we provide, because we do recognize the Ku LNBF can easily be out of polarity alignment.

Your correct, the focal point is not frequency dependant, however the reflection follows a path that narrows as distance increases. Positioning the opening of the waveguide at the optimum distance improves it's signal gathering capabilities.
