    Attention: We need your help!

Hi Scott and forum members. The reason you haven't heard from me is because I was totally unaware of any of this until this morning when I received a call from Mr. Buckner. What he told me was very different from what I read here. Don't take that as taking sides, I'm not. I would not have...

    Ku LNBFs - Digital Ready?

In the past year or so the engineers have been improving LNBF by consolidating many of the components into a integrated circuit. This has many advantages. It allows for high gain without increasing noise levels or making the stability worse. They are also more dependable, run cooler, and have...

    Trimax sm-2200

It will not do blind search. Maybe my thinking is wrong, but normally you need to know which satellite/TP/etc that you want before the dish alignment starts. You will be able to add satellites and edit satellites using a PC and software. This model (at this time) does not allow entry of...

    Trimax sm-2200

You will be able to add the information you need using your PC. Planned release date for sales of the SM-2200 is November 15th. Detailed instructions will be posted on our websites close to the release date. Trimax Digital Satellite Meters and Digital Satellite Alignment Meters.

    SG 2100 loose motor shaft.

Actually that's a mistake. It should say tighten screw "1" 1-2 turns..... Thanks for bringing it to my attention. Screw 1 is the wedge that does the actual adjusting of the backlash.

    SG 2100 loose motor shaft.

You might also review the Backlash Adjustment Bulletin on our site found at SG2100 dish positioner. I think it's toward the bottom of that page.

    Trimax SM-1100 Satellite Meter

I think what Rick is saying, the meter won't show you a picture on encrypted channels. I believe it will still give you the signal reading. As far as I know, it works on all satellites except DTV at 101. They are doing something to the signal there that doesn't allow the meter to pick it up...

    BSC 621 issues

No, I certainly didn't mean to come off that way and I apologize if it sounded that way. I just wanted to make sure you had the information we provide, because we do recognize the Ku LNBF can easily be out of polarity alignment.

    BSC 621 issues

Your correct, the focal point is not frequency dependant, however the reflection follows a path that narrows as distance increases. Positioning the opening of the waveguide at the optimum distance improves it's signal gathering capabilities.

    BSC 621 issues

Of course C and Ku focal points are at different places. That's actually one of the advantages of the BSC621, the focal points inside the LNBF are at different places. See http://www.dmsiusa.com/documents/c-ku%20focal%20point.pdf. These devices (regardless of who makes them) are a little...

    BSC621-2 C/Ku LNBF ?

Thanks for your kind words. We try to stay on the leading edge of technology while doing business the old fashion way. Thanks for your support.

    BSC621-2 C/Ku LNBF ?

Actually, there is no internal wiring to get damaged, but what does happen, the Ku LNBF turns making the polarity between C and Ku out of alignment. You can see the tech bulletin at BSC621 technical bulletin. We've received 2 LNBFs back claiming poor performance on Ku and in both cases this...

    Is my sg2100 dead?

Tell you what, you send it in and if we determine it's a product defect, I'll exhange it for you and send you a new LNBF to compensate you for your shipping and trouble.

    Is my sg2100 dead?

Of course you entitled to your opinion, but please be honest. Did you not call in and get technical assistance from Lance? and did he not issue you a RA? We have offered to take care of you under warranty, whatever it takes to get that done. BUT we cannot service a product that you have...

New Software for Traxis and Special Price on SG2100

Hmmmm, sorry to hear it's a conflict for you. I was unaware of the problems you guys were having. I can only guess who you are talking about. I must say I haven't had that kind of problem. Just so we are clear, DMS International owes and operates VisionPlus.us forum. I am not in...

    sg2100 and usals

It's no error. Your older motor works because of USALS support from the receiver. The older SG2100 doesn't have USALS built into the motor. The new one does. How do you tell the difference? The older SG2100 has one button for control. The new one has two buttons.

New Software for Traxis and Special Price on SG2100

Sorry, no fix for AC3 yet. We're still working on it. Walking and chewing gum? The Traxis DBS3500 uses a newer processor. It can't be hacked, but it also doesn't have the same support as the older processors (yet). The software development is coming around nicely and most features now...

New Software for Traxis and Special Price on SG2100

I'm curious, what's the conflict of interest? There is no advertising or commercial links on VisionPlus Forum. Also, you can talk about anything legal. So, I just wanted to know what the conflict could be. I belong to both forums, well actually several forums.

    Comparing Motors, LNBs, etc

Actually, the "plastic" gear has been proven to out last metal, and the wear rate is less than metal. The word plastic really doesn't do it justice. The non-technical term is engineering plastic. Also, the plastic gear helps compensate for back lash and keep it to a minimum. You might also...

    Xtreme II fading? (SKY help)

Hmmm, sounds like mositure in the coax connector probably at the LNBF. Remove the coax and look at the center conductor. If it's dis-colored black or green, cut it back to where is nice and clean and install a new F connector. After checking your connections if you still have a problem...

    Dish Network and FTA

One of the worst things to come out of hacking (for me) is that people associate the term FTA with hacking now. Most consumers think any FTA receiver can be hacked. We get a lot of calls for "software". We refuse to sell any receiver that can be hacked. Many brands that were hardly known...
