But it will entail getting one of the new dishes (500+ or 1000+) as the HD locals are on the 118.75 (119K) sat. Does anyone know when these will be available, and will they be free to us that will need them to receive these local channels?

Where is St. Louis? It was shown on the graphic on the Tech Chat.

According to the Tech Chat St. Louis was supposed to get the local HD channels. I see other cities have them today, but not us. Was there a mistake?

They also showed a graphic that showed St. Louis will be added by mid-May, but they said 11 more cities will be added but the list showed 13???

Well since the update I have to reset the receiver twice a day. I get frequent audio drops, just for a micro second, but noticeable. I also loose audio on HD channels, but if I hit the skip back button it comes back, but when I go back to live TV, it's gone again. I also get picture stutter on...

I've been trying to watch the college basketball games on the local CBS stations and I have to change channels and go back to keep the picture from chopping and "buzzing".

I'm now getting picture jiggle and jerking on the OTA locals with this update. I also sometimes get audio drop from just changing channels using the up/down keys, along with audio sync on a few channels. I had none of this before the update last night.

Well, I finally got my 622 today. My official install date is next Tuesday. I already have a dish 500 pointed at 110/119 and another pointed at 61.5, which should work, and it does on tuner 1, but tuner 2 only see 110 and 61.5. I'm using the duplexer to split the one cable to both sat inputs...

Just going on what the tech told me...I do hope I'm wrong. So if I do subscribe to the SD locals, will the info for the sub-channels show in the EPG?

I emailed the tech department this question and the answer I got was you will see the OTA channels in the guide, but it will not have any info for those channels unless you subscribe to locals through Dish. But since Dish does not carry the sub channels anyway, there info wont be in the EPG either.
