HS17 and adding a wireless client.

Any WiFi extender you would recommend to use for the HS17?

HS17 and adding a wireless client.

I guess no way to extend the range of the Hs17?

HS17 and adding a wireless client.

Hello, I have an HS17 server with 6-4K clients. I’d like to add a wireless client in the garage. The HS17 is hard wired to the router but both are in the basement. The wireless client would be a good distance from the HS17. Does the wireless client need to be close to the HS17 to work or...

Genie 2 and using MoCA internet

Hi all, I’m not sure if this is the correct place to ask but here we go. I currently have DirecTv. (Genie 2 and 6 4K clients). Spectrum gig internet and an Netgear Orbi Mesh System. I don’t really game but wanted to try Google Stadia. “Gaming service that doesn’t require a PC or gaming system”...

    DirecTV& DishNetwork

I had the Genie 2 and 6 4K minis installed today. I’m sure it’s opinion vs opinion but I feel like DirectTV has a better picture. I’ll do them side by side later next week as I’m going to keep a Hopper 3 downstairs. Anyone else feel the picture is slightly better? I do have one other question…...

No they completely understood but like I said I didn’t buy that. Just going to try additional wiring in basement and 1st floor and wireless upstairs.

    DirecTV& DishNetwork

Thanks all, I spoke with a sales rep and they said they could share the same wiring but use a splitter. I don’t buy anything they say so I’m going to go ahead and try the Genie 2 with two wired for 4K and one wireless and see how that goes or what option or opinions they give. Thanks

Understood, just asking about general performance with wireless not 4K.

    DirecTV& DishNetwork

Yes, actually have 8 4K TVs but I’d only want 4K on a couple as I know content is limited and for sports I generally only use two of the 8. I guess I could do one wired in basement and the other two I could try wireless. Just curious how well the work wirelessly. Anyone have experience with...

    DirecTV& DishNetwork

So if the Genie 2 is a server and nothing connects directly… I assume that means no 4K if you have the genie 2?

    DirecTV& DishNetwork

Thought of that but wanted to explore other options as well. Happy wife, Happy life. Anyone have any info on the Genie 2? Not sure of the technical name but looks like a server but not clear if everything connects wirelessly or or if it uses some other tech.

Yeah I knew it would be different inputs but didn’t like the idea of having new wiring thru whole house. I would need one in basement, ground floor and upstairs. That is why was curious about the genie 2 If they couldn’t share the same wiring.
