Ok, so the Hopper to Hopper trick play (ff, rw, pause, etc) fix is "Soon". I guess in Dish lingo, that means "in a year or two." Perhaps its long enough this should be a sticky. I'm getting REALLY frustrated.

Nothing I noticed. The most important thing to be fixed, trick play between hoppers, is still broken. First thing I check.

Don't just red button reset, hard reset by unplugging AC from wall for a few minutes. Mine was doing that and I reset several times to no avail, I think its back to OK after hard reset.

Mine was doing the black screen and other problems, until I did a hard reset by unplugging from AC for a couple minutes. Its undoubtedly the software update causing the problems.

I've wondered what's in there. What's the gold circuit board opposite of the HD? Pretty sure its the PS. Do these run linux of some sort?

Dish installer told me to spray WD40 on dish to shed snow. Although it does not snow that much in Albuquerque, and probably less on the Big Island :)
