    Dish 500 Dedicated to 129 Works in L.A.

    Yes, tried the one dish solution, but it kept dropping out on certain channels. After the 3rd installer, and a private e-mail to "Charlie", the 4th installer put up a second dish dedicated to 129, and no problems since.

    In reference to the transition to digital television, the U.S. is not the only country to use the VHF spectrum post closure of the analogue system. Australia's four major networks are all staying in the high VHF spectrum.

    Have you Received a ViP622?

    Have the 622. Install date 2/23. Current setup. Two dishes, one pointing at 110/119, and the second at 148. With installation of the Dish 1000, does that mean, that I can remove the other two dishes, i.e. is only the one dish required. Thanks

    Called around 1000PST, and after numerous attempts at navigating my way through the computer generated answering system, finally got through via tech support, and a very pleasant lady (with a real American accent), took my details, and order for a 622 to replace my 811. Scheduled for 2/23...

    Any chance of a reliable E* HD STB in the near future?

    Have had my 811 for about a month now, changeout from a 6000 (packed it in), and thus far, it has performed superbly, both satellite, and OTA. It came with 285 uprgrade, and downloaded the 287 with no problems.
